The point of control POC

Volume Profile — Lesson 3 of 11

The most important spot in any profile is the point of control, denoted POC. It is the price level at which the largest volume of all occurred — that is, the longest bar in the chart.

The shape and its meaning

The point of control is the widest bar in the profile and the site of the greatest trading. It acts as a strong reference that draws price and interacts with it up and down. Illustrative diagram — not real prices.
